CVOR Certified Surgical Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technician with a strong background in cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) procedures. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience, preferably in CVOR, and be adept at scrubbing for open heart and vascular surgeries, including wired vascular cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures by providing essential support during open heart and vascular surgeries.
• Prepare and maintain sterile environments for surgeries, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient operations and optimal patient care.
• Manage instruments and supplies necessary for various surgical procedures.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years of recent surgical technician experience, preferably in CVOR.
• Proficient in scrubbing for open heart and vascular surgeries, including wired vascular cases.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Work Schedule:

This position primarily operates during the day shift, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The role may also involve on-call responsibilities, which include:

• 1-2 call shifts on weekdays, extending from the end of the scheduled shift until 7:00 AM the following morning.
• 1 weekend call every 6 weeks, comprising 24-hour coverage on both Saturday and Sunday.
• Coordination of one working shift over the weekend every 6 weeks, typically aligned with weekend call duties.
• Possible rotation on holiday call schedule as necessary.
