Radiation Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our outpatient clinic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in delivering radiation therapy to adult patients, with a focus on quality care and patient education.

Qualifications

• Required: BLS certification
• Required: ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy
• Must have an active Virginia license at the time of submission
• 2 years of experience in Radiation Therapy
• Experience with Varian True Beam equipment is essential

Responsibilities

• Administer daily patient treatments, including External Beam, IMRT, and SBRT
• Provide patient education regarding treatment processes and expectations
• Utilize Aria for record-keeping and treatment verification
• Occasional floating to other locations within the system may be required, though rare

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment of five 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. There are no weekend or holiday requirements.

Dress Code

Solid color scrubs or business casual attire is required.

Orientation

The orientation period will last five days, with 8-hour shifts. Extension of orientation may be offered based on the traveler’s experience and comfort level.

Management Structure

This position will report to the Director and the Lead Therapist of the department.
