ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care for critically ill patients in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Position Details

• Unit Type: Medical/Surgical ICU
• Bed Count: 20 beds
• Patient Ratio: 1:2 or 1:1 for high acuity; 1:4 or 1:5 when floated to other Med/Surg areas
• EMR System: EPIC

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population, including individuals with severe psychiatric conditions, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, and more.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data effectively.
• Collaborate with attendings and residents, who are present 24/7 in the unit.
• Float as necessary to various medical and surgical units as required by staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of continuous MICU experience required.
• Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS.
• Ability to read telemetry strips is mandatory.

Schedule

This role requires availability for rotating shifts. The night shift does not rotate, while day rotators may be assigned various shifts (7a-7p, 11a-11p, or 7p-7a). Candidates must be willing to work weekends.

• This position may require floating to different medical/surgical units with a workload that can include up to 4 or 5 patients.
