Cath Lab Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Perform catheterization procedures including left heart catheterization (LHC), right heart catheterization (RHC), and percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI).
• Assist with structural cardiology procedures and various advanced techniques such as Impella, IABP, and ECMO.
• Utilize specialized equipment including Siemens Artiz Z & Q, Philips Volcano IVUS, and Shockwave devices.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide optimal patient care and support during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in compliance with safety protocols.

Schedule

• 3×12 hour shifts from 08:30 to 20:30.
• Weekend shifts required once every 4-5 weeks, from Friday evening to Monday morning.
• Participate in on-call rotation, including 2 weekday nights and weekend responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting, with competence in all diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT(BD), and ARRT(R).
• Experience with adult cardiology and structural cardiology patient diagnoses is essential.
• Prior experience with a variety of procedures such as CTO, TAVR, Watchman, and shockwave therapy is highly preferred.
• Must possess a valid West Virginia license, and pending licenses may be submitted with the assurance of having an active license upon assignment start.
• Must not hold RCIS or RCES credentials, as these are not recognized for Cath Lab roles.

• Average daily census: 35-45 patients.
• Staffing ratios: 1:1.
