Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on a medical-surgical telemetry unit.
• Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement nursing interventions.
• Monitor vital signs and telemetry readings, responding to changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on disease management and health promotion.
• Document patient information and care provided in accordance with hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent Med/Surg Telemetry nursing experience required.
• Active and unrestricted Ohio nursing license or compact state license required.
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.

Shift Information

• Night shift: 3 – 12 hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.
