Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric PACU

Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Pediatric PeriAnesthesia Unit, which includes a 10-bed pediatric preoperative and postoperative area, as well as a 4-bed Pediatric Surgical Observation Unit (PSOU). This position offers the opportunity to provide specialized postoperative care for pediatric patients requiring overnight observation or extended recovery following surgery.

Schedule

• 13-week contract
• Nights, 3×12-Hour shifts (19:00 – 07:30)
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation

Time Off

Requests for time off can be approved for up to 40 hours.

Certifications Required

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)

Additional Information

• Candidates may submit with a pending Virginia license.
• Applicants must adhere to the 50-mile radius rule.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have experience in pediatric nursing and a passion for providing high-quality care to patients in a perioperative setting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.
