Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position will involve working a Day/Night rotation with coverage every other weekend (EOW) and every other holiday (EOH) for the Labor and Delivery unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients during labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period.
• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal well-being throughout the labor process.
• Administer medications and interventions as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on the childbirth process, pain management options, and postpartum care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) is required.
• Previous experience in a Labor and Delivery unit preferred.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and emotionally charged environment.

Schedule

This position requires flexibility to work a combination of Day and Night shifts, including coverage on weekends and holidays as needed.
