Operating Room Technologist – Surgical Tech

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist (CST) to join our dynamic team specializing in Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures at a Level One Trauma Center. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of experience in a Level 1 trauma facility and demonstrate exceptional patient care and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.

Position Information

• Role: Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Shift: Days, from 7 AM to 7 PM
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Requirements: 1:4 weekends, 12-hour shifts
• Call Requirements: One overnight call (11 PM – 7 AM) for Trauma call, scheduled per specialty team rules if on a specialty team
• Experience Requirement: A minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room

Responsibilities

As a Surgical Technologist, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting in various Gynecology and Genitourinary surgical procedures, including:
• Robotic surgeries (Da Vinci Xi)
• PCNLs (Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy)
• Nephrectomies
• Ureteral reimplants
• Hysterectomies
• Cystectomies
• Colpocleisis
• Hysteroscopies
• Ureteroscopies
• Providing exceptional patient care throughout the surgical process.
• Contributing efficiently in a high-pressure environment while maintaining a focus on team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
• Preferred Skills/Experience: Experience in General Surgery, GU/GYN, Orthopedic trauma, Neurology, ENT, Pediatrics, and Endovascular procedures.
• Patient Demographics: Comfortable working with a diverse patient population, including pediatrics through geriatrics.
• Personality Fit: Must be flexible, accountable, punctual, and a team player.

• Patient Ratios: 1:1
• Equipment: Storz, Stryker, Olympus, Intuitive Robot
• Electronic Medical Records: Epic
