Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Description

The Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) is responsible for delivering selected physical therapy procedures and related tasks under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist. The PTA will treat patients using modalities and exercises based on the patient’s medical needs and an approved treatment plan while recognizing their scope of practice. Responsibilities include:

• Implementing treatment plans as directed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Administering modalities and exercises to patients across various age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric populations.
• Maintaining a clean and organized department environment.
• Documenting daily notes and discharge data accurately.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of inpatient rehabilitation experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Recent traveler experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
• Active state license in Oklahoma is required.

Requirements

• Availability to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
• Commitment to completing all assigned responsibilities while adhering to established protocols.
