Registered Nurse (RN) – Stepdown

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Stepdown care to join our team. This role involves delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with the healthcare team.

Job Overview

The Registered Nurse will integrate collaborative care planning for individual patients and implement nursing standards throughout the care process. This role requires critical thinking, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Stepdown unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as necessary.
• Coordinate care with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Supervise and support nursing assistants and other staff members.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, utilizing EPIC EMR.

Shift Details

• 12-hour night shifts with a guarantee of 36 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday availability required, if needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of current Medical Surgical experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown setting.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is highly preferred.
• Previous charge nurse experience is required.
• Active New Hampshire RN license or Compact license.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS from the American Heart Association.
• Must have reliable transportation.

Additional Information

Requests for time off must be noted and verified prior to submission. No more than 5 days of time off will be accepted.

Travelers may not take all holidays off and are expected to work two holiday blocks if scheduled and needed during specified holiday periods.
