Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in providing specialized care for pediatric patients, particularly those requiring epilepsy monitoring and care up to 25 years of age.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night (3×12 Hour, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Essential Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to pediatric patients in a critical care setting.
• Monitor and evaluate the health status of patients and implement appropriate interventions.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including EKGs and inotropes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in patient and family education and support initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in Pediatric Intensive Care.
• Active Ohio or Compact State Nursing License.
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS from AHA or American Red Cross.
• Experience in epilepsy monitoring and specialized care for patients aged up to 25 years.
• NIHHS certification is preferred.

Additional Requirements

• Must work at least every other holiday.
• Completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with acceptable scores required.
