Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Medical Telemetry Registered Nurse on a 41-bed unit, focusing on the assessment and care of patients with cardiac, respiratory, metabolic, psychiatric, substance use disorders, genitourinary, and gastrointestinal conditions. The role requires close monitoring and interventions based on telemetry readings.

Position Details

• Shift: 36 hours per week, primarily night shifts with every other weekend required
• Floating: Travelers are required to float to applicable units when needed
• Rotating Shifts: Required for days; rotation between 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., 11 a.m. – 11 p.m., and night shifts from 7 p.m. – 7 a.m.
• Clinician to Patient Ratio: Days: 1 to 4/5; Evenings & Nights: 1 to 5/6
• Census: Patient capacity is typically at 41 beds

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a single location and 2 years as a traveling nurse
• Skills Required:
  • Cardiac Telemetry Monitoring
  • Administration of Cardiac Drips
  • Interpretation of Telemetry Strips
  • Use of TR Bands
  • High-Flow Oxygen Management
• Certifications Required:
  • Current RN License in Massachusetts
  • AHA Certified BLS
  • AHA Certified ACLS
• EMR System: Proficiency in EPIC
