Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) who will provide care across various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric med-surg, pediatric PACU, pediatric ED boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby. Candidates must possess strong clinical skills and experience in high-acuity pediatric settings.

Job Details

• Shift: Night shift (4×12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
• Weekends and Holidays: Every other weekend, every other holiday
• Time Off Policy: 40 hours of time off can be approved; no requests for time off during the first two weeks of the assignment will be accommodated

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience
• Experience in both PICU and NICU settings is required
• Previous float pool experience in NICU/PICU is a plus
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required
• Pediatric PACU experience is highly preferred
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required (can be pending; associated costs apply)
• Must adhere to floating policies
• Epic electronic health record experience is required
• Virginia nursing license (pending applications will be considered)
