Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role involves floating to various pediatric units, including PICU, NICU, pediatric medical-surgical, pediatric PACU, pediatric emergency department boarders, and postpartum/mother-baby care.

Key Responsibilities

• Float across multiple pediatric units as assigned.
• Provide high-quality patient care to pediatric patients in various settings.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure the best outcomes for young patients.
• Adhere to float policy and unit protocols during assignments.

Work Schedule

• Available shifts: Night shifts (4×12-hour schedule).
• 36 or 48 hours per week.
• Every other weekend and holiday commitment required.
• No block scheduling can be accommodated or guaranteed.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of 2 years of PICU experience.
• Previous NICU and pediatric experience required.
• BLS, NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
• Pediatric PACU experience is highly preferred.
• Dr. Brown’s Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required but may be submitted as pending (with associated costs).
• Epic electronic health record experience is required.
• Must be comfortable working in a floating capacity across multiple units.
• Must be willing to adhere to policies regarding time off throughout the assignment.
• VA license submission can be accepted pending.
