Job Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) position involves providing care in acute settings and, on occasion, inpatient rehabilitation. The role requires commitment to patient outcomes and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Physical Therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Monitor patient’s progress and modify treatment as necessary under supervision.
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely.
• Educate patients and families on rehabilitation protocols and exercises.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification.
• ASHA certification in rehabilitation.
• Availability for holiday coverage and some weekend shifts as needed.

Work Schedule

This position typically operates during day shifts, Monday through Friday, with some weekend coverage required. Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the unit is essential.
