Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. This role is crucial in assisting patients to develop and regain functional independence while adhering to state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy interventions as outlined in the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in educating patients and their families about therapy processes.
• Communicate patient status and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state COTA license or the ability to obtain licensure.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills are essential.
