Clinical Nurse

Position Summary

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages, including support for their families. This role involves executing diverse nursing procedures that require professional knowledge, and the ability to work independently while adhering to established guidelines, including physician orders and nursing policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients in various clinical settings.
• Implement prescribed treatments and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
• Document patient care accurately in medical records.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.

Experience and Qualifications

• Must possess at least 2 years of experience in an acute or sub-acute healthcare facility.
• Valid and unrestricted nursing license to practice in any U.S. state, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a U.S. territory.
• Current certifications required throughout employment:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association.
• Complete Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) within six months of hire.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within six months of hire.

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts from 18:30 to 07:00.
