ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary: We are seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses to join our team. This position involves working in a 20-bed Medical/Surgical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) that provides care for a diverse range of adult patients with critical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the MICU.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and vital signs.
• Manage complex patient care needs, including but not limited to, substance abuse, severe psychiatric conditions, diabetic ketoacidosis, sepsis, respiratory failure, cardiac arrest, renal failure, and cardiogenic shock.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including attendings and residents, who are available 24/7.
• Float to medical/surgical units as needed, caring for up to 5 patients during shifts.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation using the EMR system (EPIC).

Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse License in Massachusetts.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
• A minimum of 2 years of continuous experience in an adult ICU or similar critical care environment.
• Ability to read telemetry strips effectively.

Work Schedule:

This position offers flexible hours, with 36 or 48 hours per week available, primarily on night shifts and every other weekend.
