Shifts are from 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with weekend call requirements.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate must be ready to work and take call during the Christmas and New Year holidays. The RN will work in a unit equipped with 2 Operating Rooms and 1 Endoscopy Suite, managing a diverse array of surgical cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care during surgical procedures within the Operating Room.
• Assist in various surgical procedures including Orthopedic, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, Obstetrics/Gynecology, General Surgery, and Endoscopy.
• Oversee and guide surgical support staff in the operating theater.
• Manage 40-50 surgical cases weekly, adapting to daily case volumes which may range from 1-4 to 5-12 Endoscopies.

Qualifications

• 2 years of current Operating Room experience is required.
• Circulating experience is required.
• Scrub experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in handling cases such as Orthopedics, General Surgery, Endoscopy, Sports Medicine, Gynecology, and C-Sections is necessary.
• Total Joint experience is required.
• Previous travel nursing experience is preferred.

Certification Requirements

• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
