Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires proactive engagement and adaptability within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details

• Shift: 12-hour shifts, 1845-0715
• Contract Length: 36 or 48 hours contracts accepted; longer contracts (13-26 weeks) may also be considered
• Floating: Required as needed within skillset, including inpatient boarding in the ED
• Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• RTO Restrictions: Up to 7 days of RTO may be accepted

Responsibilities

• Participate in unit team meetings, which may occur outside of regularly scheduled shifts.
• Be prepared to serve on the Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team, including reporting for work during disasters or mass casualties.
• Assist in the care of patients in isolation, including those with inpatient orders in environments where beds are unavailable.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Current BLS certification
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
• Charge experience preferred, first-time travelers are welcome

• Documentation: Epic
• Communication: SBAR

Orientation

A comprehensive orientation lasting 24 hours will be provided. Travelers must attend hospital orientation during their first week and will be expected to participate in daily classes.

Dress Code

The required uniform color is navy.

Additional Notes

• All contract staff must pass EKG testing prior to their start.
• Locals will be accepted at the local rate.
