Registered Nurse (RN)

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) working in a Medical-Surgical Telemetry unit. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of patient care and the ability to interpret telemetry strips as all RNs are responsible for this task.

Position Details

• Shift: 12-hour day shift, with every other weekend required.
• Floating between all Medical-Surgical Telemetry units as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent acute Medical-Surgical nursing experience with a focus on Telemetry nursing.
• Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
• Skills/Certifications:
  • CPR Certification
  • ACLS Certification
• Epic experience is required.
• Must have been separated from the previous employer for at least 6 months and in good standing.

Special Requirements

• Successful completion of Dysrhythmia and Medication testing (20 questions each) with a minimum passing score of 85% is mandatory prior to acceptance.
• The tests will be administered via Zoom, and candidates must complete testing within 48 hours of confirmation.
• Flu vaccination is required, with only medical exemptions accepted.

This role requires adaptability and the ability to care for a diverse patient population, including both surgical and overflow medical patients. Candidates should prepare adequately for the educational assessments to ensure a successful onboarding experience.
