CNA I (GNA) / LTC Float Pool

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA I) to join our Float Pool team. This position requires flexibility and the ability to adapt to varying patient needs across multiple units, including long-term care and rehabilitation settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a float capacity across various units.
• Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, and meal assistance.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs and changes in condition.
• Support nursing staff in clinical procedures as directed.
• Participate in orientation and training across different patient care units.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts of 12 hours
• Time: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of GNA experience required.
• Active CNA I certification in the state of Maryland is mandatory at the time of submission.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Candidates must be willing to float between units to meet facility needs.

Additional Information

• This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including those requiring complex care, rehabilitation, and memory care.
• An orientation period of 24 hours across multiple units will be provided to prepare the candidate for the float pool role.
• Time off requests are limited, with a maximum of 14 days of leave that may be approved outside of designated blackout dates.
• Every other holiday will be required, and specific holidays off cannot be guaranteed.
