Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team. This position involves working with various surgical specialties, including General, GYN, GU, Transplant, and Orthopedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in nursing assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
• Provide care in the Operating Room setting for surgeries including kidney transplant, hysterectomy, urological and GYN procedures, nephrectomy, HOLEP, cystectomy, ureteroscopy, and laparoscopic gynecology.
• Utilize robotic surgical systems (Davinci Xi) to assist surgeons effectively.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain and document accurate patient records and surgical reports.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures.

Schedule

This position requires availability for day shifts, specifically three 12-hour shifts from Friday to Sunday, 06:30 to 19:10. The first two weeks will involve orientation from 06:40 to 15:10, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; pending Wisconsin license will be accepted with submission.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
• Experience in Urology, Gynecology/Oncology, kidney transplant, pancreas transplant, robotic surgery, and orthopedic trauma is essential.

Additional Information

This role does not require on-call duties. Candidates should be prepared to work holiday shifts when scheduled on weekends.
