Physical Therapist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our acute care team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating and treating a variety of adult patient diagnoses in a hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform evaluations and provide treatment for adult patients with various diagnoses, including general deconditioning, total joint replacements, post-operative orthopedic cases, and some neurological conditions.
• Utilize EPIC for electronic medical records throughout patient interactions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
• Participate in a structured orientation program, including a computer-based orientation and 1-on-1 EPIC training.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care hospital setting within the past 3 years is preferred.
• At least 1 year of physical therapy experience within the past 3 years is required.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical record system is highly preferred.
• Active Physical Therapy licensure in Minnesota or willingness to obtain.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association is required.
• Willingness to cross-train to skilled nursing facilities for intermittent coverage needs is highly preferred.

Work Environment

• Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
• No on-call or weekend shifts are required.
• Will work alongside 3-4 other PTs/PTAs daily.
• Facility licensed for 118 beds, with an average therapy caseload of approximately 40-45 patients.

Additional Information

• All clinicians must badge in and out at the facility.
• Required attire includes polo shirts in specified colors or business casual clothing.
