Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have experience in orthopedic, urology, and spine procedures, and must be proficient in circulating during surgeries. This position involves working 10-hour shifts, four days a week, with a requirement for on-call duties.

Shift Information

• Days: 0800 – 1830
• 10-hour shifts, 4 days a week
• On-call requirements: 1 weeknight and 2 weekend days per month, with the possibility of additional call based on departmental needs
• Float to multiple locations may be required

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine their mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual plans of care.
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families.
• Utilize clinical judgment to recognize and report significant changes in patient conditions.
• Promote a healthy workplace environment through professional communication and conflict management.
• Meet Core Measure responsibilities related to patient care.
• Participate in continuing education and maintain complete and accurate medical records.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in Illinois.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant nursing field.
