Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in neuro, ortho, and trauma surgical cases, with the ability to scrub and/or circulate.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift Length: 10 or 12 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Years of Experience Required: 2 years
• Certifications: BLS Certification required

Shift Information

• Available Shifts: 7 AM to 5 PM, 7 AM to 7 PM
• Weekend rotation and call responsibilities as determined by the manager
• Travelers will work weekend shifts of 12 hours in rotation with staff
• Weekday shifts may include 8-hour assignments in rotation

Unit Overview

• Number of Suites: 23
• Average Number of Cases Per Day: 75
• Common Procedures Include: Trauma, Ortho, Neuro, Cardiac, Exploratory Laparotomies

Requirements

• Level 1 trauma center experience preferred
• Experience in scrubbing and circulating for neuro, ortho, and trauma cases is a plus
• Must be available for weekends and on-call shifts as needed

Call Expectations

• All travelers are expected to take the same call requirements as permanent staff
• Call response time is 45 minutes
• Each traveler is to fulfill assigned call shifts based on a rotation schedule

Additional Information

• Self-scheduling is available within reasonable limits; block scheduling is not guaranteed
• Hospital issued scrub color/dress code will be provided
