Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

The Acute Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides essential nursing care for patients within a structured care environment. Under the supervision of professional nursing staff, the CNA offers support to patients on the Med/Surg unit. This position requires knowledge and adaptability to care for patients of varying ages.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and support under the guidance of registered nursing staff.
• Assist patients with daily living activities to promote their comfort and well-being.
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the supervising nurse.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
• Document care provided and assist with patient assessments as directed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate and related patient care.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Shift Information

Position requires flexibility with day and night shifts, with potential rotation based on needs. The role typically involves 12-hour shifts.
