Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in Medical Surgical, particularly in orthopedic and general surgery, to join our team. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt quickly to the environment and provide high-quality care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a medical surgical setting, focusing on orthopedic cases.
• Perform IV starts and telemetry monitoring.
• Gain experience with a patient ratio of 5:1, with the possibility of fewer patients.
• Maintain effective communication with the healthcare team and patients.
• Participate in charge nurse duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid KS State or Compact License.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience with orthopedic procedures, particularly total hips and knees, is preferred.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) are preferred.
• Experience in rural health settings is a plus.
• Willingness to work night shifts (7p-7a) and every other weekend is required.
• Open to first-time travelers as well as local candidates.

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week. Every other weekend commitment is necessary.
