General Radiologic Technologist

• D/E • 3, 12-hour shifts • 36 hours per week • 0700-1930

Required Qualifications

• ARRT certification
• Washington State certification as a radiologic technologist, registered in X-ray
• Experience with Shimadzu portable equipment
• Recent experience with Rad Speed Pro and C-Arm in the operating room
• EPIC experience
• BLS certification

Job Functions

• Prepare for and perform all x-ray examinations, including routine, fluoroscopy, operating room, and portable procedures.
• Effectively operate all x-ray room, portable, and surgical x-ray equipment.
• Develop, implement, and monitor procedures for optimal scan utilization.
• Review and evaluate diagnostic images for technical quality.
• Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic procedures and perform minor procedures under their direction as per certification limitations.
• Provide direct training and supervision to student technologists.
• Utilize PACS, RIS, and current EMR systems efficiently while completing required documentation for each examination.
• Maintain compliance with continuing education requirements as outlined by regulatory entities.
• Safely lift and transfer patients using appropriate ergonomic techniques and safety equipment.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ family members or caregivers as necessary.
• Adhere to ALARA principles along with “Image Gently” and “Image Wisely” guidelines.
