Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on the Neuroscience Med/Surg unit. This role involves providing quality patient care to adult and geriatric populations, focusing specifically on stroke and TIA patients, as well as higher acuity med-surg cases.

Schedule

• Working 3×12 hour shifts
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend

Staffing and Patient Care Details

• Staffing ratio of 1:6 during night shifts
• Float to other units based on need and skill set

Patient Diagnoses

• Stroke/TIA
• Seizure
• Syncope
• Pneumonia (PNA)
• Chest Pain
• Dialysis
• Acute Kidney Failure
• Post Heart Catheterization
• Respiratory Failure
• Encephalopathy
• Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
• Sepsis

Special Procedures and Unit Information

This unit is dedicated to the inpatient care of neurology-related conditions and also handles patients requiring complex medical-surgical interventions. The unit is committed to enhancing patient experiences and can perform peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Tennessee
• At least 1 year of nursing experience required
• Experience with EPIC software is necessary
• Certifications Required:
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
