Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to provide high-quality care in a dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in critical care settings and will work with a variety of cases involving both adult and pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and assessments to patients in critical care and general care settings.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding respiratory health.
• Float between units as needed to meet facility demands and maintain optimal patient care.

Qualifications

• Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory therapy.
• National Certifications: ACLS required; PALS and NALS for pediatric care preferred.
• BLS certification required.
• Must be open to floating to sister facilities as needed.
• Pending state licensure will be accepted.

Work Schedule

• Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, including some weekends.
• Weekend shifts are required.
• Requests for time off should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the next schedule for manager approval.
• Guaranteed hours between 72-80 per pay period.

Additional Information

• Scrub color will be provided by the facility.
• Charting will be done using Cerner.
