Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. This position is located in a critical access healthcare facility.

Shift Information

Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM with weekend and holiday rotation required.

Minimum Experience

2 years of nursing experience is required.

Certifications/Requirements

• Active IL RN Licensure
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process while collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document patient care accurately and according to established standards.
• Perform assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations of patient care.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with clinic policy.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other departments in support of patient care.
• Apply critical thinking in regards to patient safety and experience and escalate issues appropriately.
• Engage in professional nursing development, unit practice activities, and peer review processes.

Holiday Coverage

Holiday coverage is required, including Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve.

Candidates should be prepared to float to multiple locations within the region as needed.
