Registered Nurse (RN) – MS/Tele

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced professionals looking to contribute to patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on the MS/Tele unit.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, evaluating the effectiveness of care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the healthcare team.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care activities and provide timely updates to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Schedule

This position involves night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Qualifications

• Minimum 12 months of experience as a Registered Nurse in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting.
• Current and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to the start date.
• One recent reference from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty applying for is required to qualify for submission. Charge RN references accepted.

Assessments

During orientation, candidates will complete an ECG rhythm recognition test and a safeMedicate assessment. An acceptable score on both assessments is required for successful onboarding.
