Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. In this full-time role, you will provide essential occupational therapy services under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Your expertise will contribute significantly to the improvement of our patients’ overall well-being.

Shift Information

• Days: Monday to Friday
• Shift Length: 8-hour shifts

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients’ needs and therapeutic goals.
• Administer therapeutic exercises and activities aimed at enhancing patients’ motor skills, coordination, and functional abilities.
• Instruct patients in the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
• Monitor and document patients’ progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), and Functional Capacity Certification (FCC).
