Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Telemetry

Position Overview

An opportunity is available for experienced Registered Nurses specializing in Cardiac Telemetry. The selected candidate will provide quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced cardiac telemetry unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor patients with cardiac conditions, including NSTEMI/STEMI and AMI.
• Perform diagnostic procedures such as left/right heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and stress tests.
• Administer cardioversions, pacemakers, and manage AICD insertions.
• Provide care for patients with arrhythmias, including atrial fibrillation and tachycardia.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Educate patients and families regarding cardiac health and management strategies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Cardiac Telemetry unit; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• Current nursing license and certifications as required.
• Strong assessment and critical thinking skills in a high-acuity environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented atmosphere.

Schedule and Compliance

This position requires working 3 12-hour night shifts per week, with rotating weekends. Travelers are encouraged to be flexible to meet unit needs.

Attributes of compliance must be fully met to ensure a timely start. Orientation requirements may lead to non-billable hours determined by contract length.

Holiday Requirements

Travelers are expected to work on major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. The following are considered major holidays:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day
