Job Summary

The Sterile Processing Tech (SPT) is essential in ensuring the safe and efficient processing of surgical instruments and equipment. This role requires the ability to function as a lead technician, participate in staffing operations, and handle call responsibilities on weekends.

Shift Details

• Day shift: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
• Every third week: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
• Weekend call: Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
• Serve as a lead technician, guiding and assisting team members.
• Participate in staffing, ensuring adequate coverage for operations.
• Handle on-call duties as assigned, including weekends.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the sterile processing area.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in sterile processing or a related field is preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to function effectively within a team.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
