Registered Nurse (RN) – Operating Room

Shift Details

• Schedule: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day
• Shift Hours: 0630 to 1700

Qualifications

• Active Washington State or Compact RN Licensure required
• Must maintain current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Adhere to nursing practices and policies as required

Required Skills

• Experience in Craniotomy and Retina procedures

Job Functions

• Coordinate and provide high-quality patient care with compassion
• Develop, implement, and regularly reassess individualized care plans for patients
• Administer medications and perform nursing procedures and treatments
• Continuously evaluate discharge plans for appropriateness and educational needs
• Document care provided, assessments, plans of care, interventions, and patient responses accurately
• Collect essential patient information to ensure safe, high-quality care
• Conduct holistic assessments of patient status and respond appropriately
• Determine and perform nursing actions to meet care goals, including physical, psychological, social, and rehabilitative needs
• Educate patients and families on health information and provide written resources
• Stay informed about workflows, processes, and evidence-based procedures
• Delegate tasks appropriately and oversee care provided by non-licensed personnel
• Engage in performance evaluation and improvement processes with leadership
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with the healthcare team
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to hospital policies

Additional Responsibilities

• Participates in on-call rotations as required
• May be required to float as a sitter or in other areas as needed
