Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Room

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Emergency Room settings. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment while collaborating with a dynamic healthcare team.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts
• Rotating shifts: 2 shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM and 1 shift from 11 AM to 11 PM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients of all ages in the Emergency Room.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, and deliver appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop patient care plans.
• Document patient information and care in the electronic health record (Epic).
• Ensure compliance with facility policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a general Emergency Room setting.
• Certification Requirements:
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• Preferred Certifications: NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Current South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact RN License required.
• Experience with adult and pediatric emergencies, including CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident) management, is essential.
• Familiarity with Epic electronic health records is preferred.

Floating Requirements

Staff may be required to float within their scope of practice to meet the needs of multiple locations as necessary.

Additional Information

Please note that during hurricane season, all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should refrain from confirming new or extended assignments during the season, which runs from June through November, with peak activity expected in August and September.
