ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing critical care for patients experiencing life-threatening conditions and managing complex medical needs within an intensive care unit.

Contract Details

• Start Date: 10/26/2026
• Contract Length: 20 Weeks
• Shift: Night shifts (3×12 hours, 19:00 – 07:30)
• Weekend Schedule: Every 3rd weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill patients.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and reactions to treatments.
• Utilize advanced medical technology and equipment.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting system.

Patient Population

The ICU Registered Nurse will care for patients with a variety of conditions, including but not limited to:

• Stroke
• Renal Failure with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
• Myocardial Infarction with Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (MI-IABP)
• Respiratory Failure
• Pneumonia
• Post Cardiac Arrest
• Diabetic Ketoacidosis (DKA)
• Surgical Intensive Care

Equipment Utilization

The role requires familiarity with specialty equipment such as:

• Ceiling lifts
• Emergency carts (including central line, universal critical airway, chest tube, and temp pacer carts)
• Bronch cart
• Chemo cart
• CRRT cart
• Malignant Hyperthermia cart

Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications are required
• Ability to float within specialty/acuity as needed
