Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic surgical team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise across diverse surgical specialties and demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care within the operating room environment.

Position Details

• Shift Length: 8-hour or 10-hour shifts available
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirements: 1 long call per week and 1 weekend approximately every 5 weeks
• Weekend Work: Assigned weekend in addition to a weeknight call
• Shifts: Primarily day shifts with occasional evening shifts
• Floating Requirements: May require coverage at an Outpatient Surgery Center across the region

Responsibilities

• Circulate for various surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
  • General/GYN/Urology: Bowel resections, laparoscopic procedures, and more
  • Ortho: Total joints, arthroscopies, and orthopedic trauma
  • Neuro/ENT/Oral/Plastics: Diverse cases including tracheostomies, spine fusions, and more
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain a sterile environment while adhering to safety protocols
• Participate in departmental quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in an operating room setting preferred
• Required Certifications:
  • ACLS (AHA) Verification
  • BLS (AHA)
• Technical Skills: Must be proficient in circulating various surgical specialties
• Communication Skills: Effective interpersonal and communication abilities essential
