Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and qualified Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) to join our sleep study unit. The incumbent will be responsible for performing sleep studies and administering treatments for patients with sleep disorders.

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct and monitor sleep studies.
• Administer treatments for sleep disorders, including CPAP, O2, and Bilevel therapies.
• Utilize Natus Xltek sleep testing equipment and Resmed Pap machines.
• Maintain accurate patient records in EPIC One Chart EMR.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure the highest level of patient care.

Shift Details

The position is for night shifts, consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week. No weekend or holiday work is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in the sleep disorders field.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification from BRPT.
• A valid North Dakota Respiratory Care License.
• Must have experience working with pediatric patients.

Working Conditions

The sleep unit comprises four sleep beds, with a technologist-to-patient ratio of 1:2. Gray scrubs are the required dress code. All personnel must badge in and out of the facility.

Training and Orientation

The orientation program includes a training week with a focus on familiarization with One Chart-EPIC and sleep and EEG software. Trainees will learn workflows, hospital layout, policies, procedures, and testing protocols, and will shadow an experienced sleep technologist before working independently.
