Registered Nurse (RN) – Tele/Med Surg

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for employing the nursing process to provide personalized nursing care to patients. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care. The RN collaborates with inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to ensure comprehensive and effective care delivery.

Essential Functions

• Adhere to legal regulations and organizational policies regarding patient health information.
• Coordinate and manage care for patients, especially those with complex needs.
• Deliver clear and effective written and oral communications that engage patients and their families.
• Delegate tasks and supervise team members based on applicable state practice acts.
• Maintain productive working relationships within and beyond the nursing team.
• Provide informative feedback to patients and families regarding health matters.
• Perform patient assessments and nursing interventions tailored to specific age-related needs.
• Promote a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS are required.

Unit Details

This role involves working in a Telemetry and Med Surg unit, with typical nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4-5 during day shifts and 1:5-6 during night shifts. Availability to float to similar units within the facility is expected. Nurses are required to wear navy blue scrubs.

Shift Information

This position is scheduled for straight night shifts, with expectations to work every other weekend and holiday.
