Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ED RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in emergency nursing and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Perform triage assessments to prioritize patient care efficiently.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Collaborate with medical staff to implement treatment plans.
• Float within skill set as necessary to support departmental needs.

Shift and Schedule

This position requires a commitment to 3×12-hour day shifts, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an emergency department setting with at least 45,600 annual visits.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS are required.
• Must successfully complete the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam, achieving a minimum overall score of 80% and a score of 100% on lethal rhythms.
• Experience with triage is preferred.
• Previous travel experience is required.
• Flu vaccination is mandatory for all employees.
