Position Overview

This position is for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a 24-bed adult medical-surgical unit, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse age groups, including infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement total nursing care for patients through assessment, nursing diagnosis, and patient care plans.
• Provide leadership by collaborating effectively with ancillary nursing staff and other patient care team members.
• Maintain standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
• Participate in the development of systems to deliver quality care to patients.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months of medical-surgical nursing experience required.
• General certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS).
• Nursing certification in NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) required.
• No previous experience required; however, relevant experience will be considered advantageous.
