Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for our Adult Emergency Department. Ideal candidates will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Contract Details

• Contracts available: 20+ weeks, with a hard stop on February 27, 2027, to accommodate the holiday season.
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts from 18:45 – 07:15.
• 36 hours per week can be offered.
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent patient care for adult patients with a variety of diagnoses including STEMI, stroke, and level 2 trauma.
• Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios: Non-Critical (3:1), Critical (2:1), and Medical boarders in ED (5:1).
• Perform essential nursing skills including IV start, triage, telemetry, and conscious sedation.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Certifications required: TNCC, ACLS, NIH, MOAB, and BLS.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Preferred Qualifications

• ENPC certification.
• Experience in trauma care is preferred.

Unit Information

• Patient volume: ~170 visits per day with 53 rooms/beds available.
• Orientation duration: 36 hours.
• Unit systems utilized include PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.

Interview Process

All candidates will be required to pass EKG testing prior to starting. Interviews are essential and candidates should provide their availability for the next 72 hours upon application submission, as the manager will not offer positions without completing an interview.
