Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with experience in the Medical Surgical specialty. This position is primarily focused on providing high-quality care in an Oncology unit.

Job Details

• Unit: Oncology | 5N | 6035
• Shift: Night shifts, 4×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension
• Schedule: Weekdays with every other weekend required
• RN to Patient Ratio: 1:5-6

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to patients, monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with treatment plans, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in Medical Surgical or Oncology
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification is preferred
• Experience with IV starts

Additional Information

Scrubs will not be provided; candidates should wear burgundy and/or white scrubs. Familiarity with Cerner EMR is advantageous.

Attendance is critical; the facility maintains a policy of 2-3 allowable call-offs per contract period.
