Registered Nurse – Wound Care

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Wound Care team. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a specialized environment, focusing on wound care management. This position involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patient conditions to develop effective wound care treatment plans.
• Perform wound care procedures and treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Educate patients and their families about wound care techniques and practices.
• Document patient care activities accurately and comprehensively.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to coordinate care and enhance patient outcomes.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Experience in wound care preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and following regulatory standards.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for weekend shifts every other weekend unless specified otherwise. The schedule is day shifts, consisting of five 8-hour shifts.

Orientation and Compliance

All candidates must meet full compliance requirements to start on time. Non-billable orientation hours will be determined based on the contract length. Compliance issues may lead to a delay in start dates.

Holiday Expectations

Travelers are expected to work during major holidays if they fall within their assignment period:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

If one major holiday occurs, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, the traveler must work both. For three major holidays, the traveler must work two.
