Occupational Therapist (OT)

Shift Information

Day Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Minimum Experience Required

2 years of experience in relevant settings

Certifications and Requirements

• General Certifications: BLS/BCLS from the American Red Cross
• Active State of Hawaii License required by the start of the assignment

Job Overview

The Occupational Therapist will be responsible for evaluating and re-evaluating assigned patients in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This includes planning and implementing ongoing therapeutic programs as prescribed by the ordering physician. The therapist will regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs while independently managing a full caseload. Knowledge of when to perform re-evaluations based on insurance authorization is also essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and re-evaluate patients in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Develop and implement therapeutic programs as directed
• Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs
• Manage a full caseload independently
• Perform re-evaluations as needed based on insurance guidelines
• Work on Hawaii State and Federal Holidays as required

Required Skills and Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience working with adults in both outpatient and acute settings

Equipment Utilization

Familiarity with EMR systems including Net Health Therapy and Meditech is preferred.

Holiday Coverage

Availability to provide holiday coverage is required.
