Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to provide essential services under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will assist patients in developing and restoring their functional independence, adhering to all relevant state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Implement therapy interventions in accordance with the Occupational Therapist’s plan of care.
• Document patient progress accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist with patient and family education to enhance understanding and compliance.
• Communicate patient status and progress to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
• Adhere to all safety, infection control, and compliance protocols.

Qualifications:

• Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Active state Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license or the ability to obtain one.
• Strong teamwork and patient care skills, with a commitment to maintaining a positive therapeutic environment.
