Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Unit Description: Join a dynamic 65-Bed Emergency Department featuring a pod-based layout, including a separate pediatric pod and an Acute Mental Health area.

Experience Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Nursing experience.

Required Skill Sets:

• Comprehensive assessment and documentation skills.
• IV insertion and phlebotomy proficiency.
• EKG and cardiac monitoring capabilities.
• Point of care testing knowledge.
• Expertise in splinting and patient education.
• Strong critical thinking skills.

Patient Care Information:

• Clinician to patient ratio: 1:4.
• Patient population: All ages.
• Emergency Department census: Approximately 230 visits per day.

Charting System:

Utilize EPIC – ASAP for electronic medical records.

Floating Requirements:

Floating to the Emergency Department Observation wing (16 beds) and Acute Mental Health Unit (ED Psych OBs) is required.

Shift Requirements:

• Rotating shifts may be required for Day Rotate (7 AM – 7 PM, 11 AM – 11 PM, & 7 PM – 7 AM) as requested, with a low rotation frequency.
• Night positions do not rotate.

Certifications:

• AHA Certified BLS.
• ACLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• NRP and TNCC certifications are strongly preferred.

Job Type:

This is a full-time role with options for 36 or 48 hours per week, primarily during night shifts and every other weekend.
